On Tuesday, the Biden Administration told the Supreme Court that it still fully intends to end the Title 42 public health rule that heavily limited immigration during the presidency of Donald Trump.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar revealed in a filing to the court that the administration will formally allow Title 42 to expire in May, around the same time the White House will let the nationwide public health emergency status over COVID-19 end as well.
Title 42 is an executive rule that allows the federal government to severely limit immigration in order to protect public health. Implemented by President Trump in 2020 at the onset of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, the rule was successful in reducing both legal and illegal immigration to near zero, due to the risk of illegals, refugees, and other immigrants further spreading the disease due to coming from third-world countries with poor health standards.
Despite the policy’s success and its ongoing popularity with the American people, Biden has repeatedly vowed to end Title 42 and other restrictions on immigration, in keeping with his campaign promise of a more open-borders approach to immigration.
Addressing the coming end of Title 42, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters that “Title 42 is a public health measure, not an immigration enforcement measure, and it should not be extended indefinitely.”
Republicans have repeatedly criticized the Biden Administration for the decision on Title 42, pointing out that lifting the rule would bring on a whole new wave of illegals crossing over the southern border. Congressman Mike Garcia (R-Calif.) pointed out that the Biden White House has falsely told the American people that Title 42 must end at the same time as the public health emergency, even though these two declarations are separate from each other.
“Title 42 should remain in place as it’s the only backstop to an open border,” said Garcia on Twitter. “We must keep this policy in place and work to strengthen border security.”

This is a terrible mistake by Biden or whomever is filling out his teleprompter. Joe seems so confused, so lost, almost fragile, it is long overdue to assess his competency to govern. His being forbidden to interact with the While House press corps suggests someone else is calling the shots. It isn’t Kamala, it isn’t Jill, who is it?
